I am in a great mood today. Which is strange, considering what a foul mood I was in yesterday. Sleeping does wonders for me.
Why am I in a particularly good mood today? Well:
- It's almost October, and the world is brisk and beautiful and absolutely delicious. This is, without a doubt, my favorite time of the year.
- I rediscovered one of my favorite perfumes that I probably haven't worn in nearly a year. I'm wearing it today and the smell reminds me of this time last year and all the things I was feeling... very good things. Love, excitement, anticipation, happiness.
- I got more acquainted with my new roommate, Aly, last night. (Joy is leaving us to get married!). Aly is intelligent and adventurous and totally on my geek wavelength. Case in point: we sat around watching the new Ken Burns film about National Parks on PBS last night.
- Stefan. He makes me happy.
- It's no longer Monday. I have a really hard time with Mondays.
- I am now a Godmother! George got baptised this weekend and now I am officially a spiritual mentor. Scary, ain't it?! The first thing I hope to communicate to George is how much fun God can be. That's something I never knew until just recently, and I wish I had known it sooner in life.
- Double shot cappuccino.
Today I am going to try to keep in mind that no matter what happens, my attitude about it all is something that I can control. My peace should not be circumstantial.

Amen, sister.
Also...your birthday is coming up very soon! I don't know when you're coming back to town next, but let me know when you do. I want to take you out to eat or something. Plus, I have summat to give you...muahaha...um.
Happy fall.
